Inquiries

Every trip someone asks you for is an inquiry. Open it, follow it across the stage board and never lose one.

Watch how it's done

An inquiry is a trip a customer asked you for: where they want to go, when, with whom and on what budget. Everything you do to sell it (proposals, tasks, payments) hangs off the inquiry.

Open an inquiry

  1. Go to Inquiries and press New inquiry.
  2. Choose the Customer, or create a new one from the same list with + New customer….
  3. Fill in the Destination and From, the departure and return dates, the Budget with its currency, and some Notes if needed.
  4. Press Create inquiry.

The inquiry lands in the New column of the board.

The destination names the inquiry everywhere in the app. Write it the way the customer would: “Bariloche” or “Ubud, Indonesia”.

The stages

Stage What it means
New Just arrived. You haven’t quoted yet.
Quoting You’re building or have sent proposals.
Booked The customer accepted a proposal.
Traveling The trip is under way.
Completed The trip is over.
Lost The customer didn’t go ahead.

To move an inquiry, drag its card to another column. In the table view, change it from the Stage picker.

When the customer accepts a proposal (from their link, or because you mark it accepted), the inquiry moves to Booked on its own and the inquiry’s other proposals are rejected.

Board or table

At the top right, choose Board or Table.

  • The Board shows each inquiry as a card, with its value, travelers, dates and next task. When the next task is overdue, the card turns it red.
  • The Table lets you compare everything at once: stage, dates, next action, budget and value.

Open an inquiry’s work

Press a card to go straight to its most recent proposal. If it has none yet, you land on the screen that creates the first one.

Filter

Filter searches by title or customer, and narrows by departure (Next 30 days, Next 3 months, Later, No date set) or by budget.

Edit, mark lost or delete

From the card’s ⋯ menu, Edit inquiry or delete it. Deleting it also deletes its proposals and follow-up tasks.

An inquiry with payments can’t be deleted: mark it Lost instead.

An inquiry’s value

The value on each card comes from the items’ prices, not from the budget the customer gave you:

  • if the inquiry has an accepted proposal, it’s that proposal’s total;
  • otherwise, it’s the total of its highest open proposal.

So the board shows what you’re really selling. Each inquiry has one currency, and its value only adds up items in that currency.
